From October 18th – 25th, the world’s largest projection-mapping extravaganza took place at the Park MGM in Las Vegas to announce Britney Spears’ new residency. PaintScaping, a world leader in large-scale 3D projection mapping projected content onto the hotel’s exterior utilizing laser projectors and media servers rented from Nationwide Video. This mapping was 26 stories high and 550 feet wide and served as a dynamic platform to publicize Spears’ new show.
“Any production we do, regardless of size, requires trusted projectors, media servers and gear that turns pulsating content into reality; but the projection mapping for Britney Spears had to be extraordinary – and Nationwide Video’s gear helped us take it there,” said Philippe Bergeron, CEO and founder of PaintScaping.
While PaintScaping’s largest production to date, the Britney Spears’ show was not the first time they have utilized Nationwide Video’s subrental gear. Other successful efforts include productions for Porsche, Sam Adams, BMW, Eminem, and Tiffany and Co. as well as the history-making mapping of Rihanna and Calvin Harris’ This is What You Came For music video, which has over 2 billion views to date.
For the Britney Spears show, PaintScaping rented 32K laser projectors and Disguise d3 media servers from Nationwide Video, as well as assorted smaller gear items, to bring the production to life.
